I'm Rachel, the calligrapher and engraving artist behind the biz. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to paint, doodle and DIY. But after graduating with a business degree from University of Virginia in 2017, I decided a corporate finance career seemed a bit more stable.
In 2019, I learned calligraphy so I could make my own wedding signage, and I fell back in love with creating. During the pandemic, I started Home Street Creative to make more time for my favorite creative hobbies. I had my first on-site engraving event in 2021 and from there, I was hooked. In 2023, I made the jump and took my business full-time!
When I'm not working, you can find me doing projects around the house, at a brewery with my husband, daughter and pup, at church or at Madabolic.
